In just a few clicks, you will learn how to format any book to any size on Microsoft Word. This is the next step after the book's Editorial Assessment and the only step prior to creating an eBook. An important skill to master. 

DESIGNING A BOOK COVER

As an Author Representative, you will be creating beautiful book cover designs for our authors. Sounds like a daunting task? Not so much! We have modernized our techniques and strategies

to make the job as easy and exciting as singing your favorite song. Soon, you will become a professional book cover designer! 

CREATING AN EBOOK

eBooks are amazing. Creating an interactive eBook is even more exciting. PUBLISHING AGREEMENTS

Our book publishing agreements provide clarity and expectations, prevents misinterpretation of communications, protects the author's intellectual property and grants our company the permission and legal right to publish an author's book. To better assist the author, you must first read and understand our Publishing Agreements first.

CUSTOM BOOK TRAILERS

Book trailers bring your work to life in a way that many authors often dream about. They can also give readers a great impression of professionalism and much like a movie trailer, is designed to visually stimulate. As an Author Representative, you will work closely with the author and a Videographer to produce a Hollywood-style book trailer. 

CUSTOM ILLUSTRATIONS

Seeing is believing. Illustrations help children understand what they're reading, and allow new readers to analyze the story. They increase sales and make the author's work more cohesive. As an Author Representative, you'll work closely with the author and the illustrator to create high quality illustrations for children's books, picture books and stories. 

AUDIOBOOK PRODUCTION

Publishing audiobooks allow our authors to be in the minority of print-book authors who produce their book in an audio version. Authors who have an audiobook reach a wider audience and are more easily discovered. Before an author decides to publish an audiobook with us, they generally want to see examples. Attached examples are below. 

BOOK PRINTING BASICS 

When it comes to book printing options, there are two basic choices --

• Print-on-Demand (POD) and

• Offset Printing

Both methods are fairly common & have advantages and disadvantages based on project size & budget. Understanding the difference will allow you to educate  authors appropriately.

STANDARD EMAIL TEMPLATES

As an Author Representative, you will communicate via your company email with clients and team members every single work day. For most of the emails you'll send, no need to write them from scratch. Have our templates saved on your company email's Draft folder and make your job easier. It's as easy adding the client's name to the template and clicking 'send!'
