Vestra Lingua Publishing, launched in January 2019, is an independent trade publisher specializing in inclusive tales that encourage and inspire. We design picture books for both children and adults, fiction series for preteens, and inspirational books for, about, and by parents. Our books reach preschool, elementary and middle school readers as well as their parents through creative storytelling that blends diverse characters, strong plots, literary devices and colorful illustrations. We are based in Cayce, South Carolina, but have a variety of areas around the globe represented through various partnerships. We hire and pull wisdom from publishing experts, education consultants, copy and content editors, illustrators, book designers, website creators, accountants, intellectual property attorneys, and more. We also provide work for local editors, artists and writers. All of our books feature either an editor, illustrator, or writer from our home state of South Carolina. We care about our readers and about the quality of our books. Our goal is to create a strong catalog of picture books, chapter books, and full-length novels in juvenile fiction, mid-grade and adult genres. We look for strong characters, incredible writing skills, detailed scenes, emotionally charged plots, and a story that feels familiar to our readers. 2594 West Columbia, SC 29171
One of the many questions we receive daily from authors is if their work will be accepted, or if we accepted any and all manuscripts sent to us? When you publish with Covenant Books, you are a part of our family. Covenant authors are assigned a representative from the very first phone call, and can speak with that same care representative throughout the entire publication process. This seemingly small detail makes all the difference when you need to call for a quick update, or just need to make a minor change to your cover design. You don't need to wade through useless automated phone menus only to connect to some generic customer service rep that has no idea what is going on with your book. Our representatives know your project, and are often our author's best friends! 11661 Hwy 707 Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 843-507-8373

I was born on the island of Jamaica, but I currently reside in South Carolina. My love for writing began many years ago during college. However, it wasn’t until the birth of my son that I started writing for children. It was difficult for me to find inspiring children's books with black characters, so I decided to create stories for my son and other children his age. I wrote books that were fun to read, but also promoted conversation between parent/teacher and child.
My company, 123 Mango Tree LLC, promotes literacy through reading, music, and art. I love creating children's books that empower and motivate children to learn and read. I think it's important for African American children's authors to create multicultural children's books for all readers to enjoy.
My goal is to encourage all parents to start reading to their children as soon as they enter the world, and to make reading a part of their daily routine. This is essential because sharing books with children at an early age helps them to develop language skills, begin enjoying books, and starts them on a path to reading for themselves.
