Publication Consultants, a debt free, financially stable company, publishing books the way authors want to be published and solves writers' big concerns:

*How can I be sure a publisher has integrity?

*After manuscript submission when will I know if it's accepted?

*If my manuscript is accepted how long before my book is published?

*How much will it cost to publish book?

*Can my book be published with no cost to me?

*How often do I receive royalty reports and royalty payments?

*Do I need a website and how much does it cost?

*How do I launch my book; how do I get started?

*Can I expect to make any money?

We've been solving these problems for authors for almost 40 years. If you qualify, we'd like to be your publisher and will do all we can to prove worthy of the trust you place in us. 8370 Eleusis Dr, Anchorage, AK 99502

McRoy & Blackburn Pub Co

M & B is a small family business dedicated to publishing worthy books with a northern flavor, by authors who write stories that are often half a bubble off plumb. They are Alaskans in spirit or by residence, and their writing reflects a solid understanding of the need to curl up with a good book in front of a midwinter fire. We define what we publish as low art, i.e., short on lifted pinkies and grand aspirations, but long on character, plot, and story.(Also short on Alaskana cliches and long on readability.)

When we got started, no other Alaska publisher specialized in fiction. This was a pity, because we knew a lot of Alaskans who could spin quite the fine yarn! But most of them would have had to print their own works or take their chances with people Outside who may be successful business people but who don't speak Alaskan. And most of these Alaskan storytellers (and their stories) don't fit into the normal slots, which is where we come in. This press came about because niche publishing for fiction was thriving throughout the U.S.--except in Alaska.

Alaska Life Publishing LLC

Shelter Cove Publishing began in 1998 by me, Mim McConnell, when my husband, Mike, was looking for a publisher for his first non-fiction book, Hand Troller, and I was looking for a way to sell my photo note cards.

We started out with a laptop on a 30' sailboat and now I conduct the business from my home office in downtown Sitka.

The name comes from a favorite quiet cove on Kuiu Island in Southeast Alaska. The logo image was made from a photograph. The simplicity of design reflects serenity, my favorite state of being.

Shelter Cove Publishing provides web and graphic design, office services and Stock Photography in Sitka and Southeast Alaska. We also produce Sitka Through Four Seasons, Sitka's premier visitors guide.

Contact me, Mim McConnell, for a free consultation and discover how I can create marketing solutions complete with web design, brochures, business cards, photography and branding for Southeast Alaska businesses, agencies, non-profits, events and more.
