52- Country Register
It has been a life long love affair of handicrafts for Publisher Barbara Floyd, the founder of The Country Registers. As a child, she would crochet yards and yards of string and wrap it into a ball. In grade school, the teachers had her cutting construction paper letters for all the bulletin boards.
Needing an effective yet affordable means of advertising their shop, Barbra-Jean suggested that her mom put out a promotional newspaper. Always a can-do person, Barbara thought that sounded like a good idea. Eventually, as the popularity of the newspaper spread, people from other states approached Barbara for help in starting The Country Register in their own areas. Thus a licensing agreement for the nationally trademarked name and logo was arranged. Michigan, now with a circulation of 66,000, became the second state to have The Country Register. There are now over 40 Country Registers in the United States and Canada.

61- Gauntlet Press
We’ve published the likes of Ray Bradbury, Richard Matheson, F. Paul Wilson, Poppy Z. Brite, Stephen King and in 2013 we completed a ten-volume set of Rod Serling’s Twilight Zone scripts.
With our signed limited editions we don’t simply publish a book with the author’s signature (as do too many speciality presses). We work with the author closely to produce a definitive edition of each of our books. Many of our authors have provided deleted chapters, alternate endings, handwritten first drafts, sketches and interior art (Clive Barker and Marie Lu are accomplished artists and Ray Bradbury is famous for both his “doodles” and oil paintings), introductions and more. Our authors choose the artist for the dustjacket and have final approval of cover art. Our goal is to provide an edition of a book the author can be proud of and customers feel in truly unique.
