The beginning of the process was great, towards the end through publishing and afterwards was not appealing at all. The service, responsiveness, and explanations were minimal. It was/is like pulling teeth with plyers to get the answers you want in a timely manner. Then the documentation and information they needed were sent sporadically. It will take you months to get paid, because you will find out months later that there is another document they either failed to send you or they'll say they did not receive the ones you did send. You will send duplicate emails, but still never get a clear answer. As a new author, I would not recommend this company at all! I am highly disappointed, as they should have taken more care in making sure everything was explained, understood, delivered and satisfactory every step of the way.

My wife published 2 beautiful books with Xulon BEFORE everyone left. The new staff at Xulon are a nightmare for her! She published her 3rd book and she has been dealing with staff who have NO EXPERIENCE in publishing.

I helped my grandfather put together a book of letters that he and my grandmother had written to each other during their engagement. The book was published with minimal issues. HOWEVER….there have been multiple attempts over the last few years to order more books. Most recently 2 family members have tried to get ahold of someone without success. They were finally able to reach someone and requested that the account be reopened. We paid the deposit, nothing happened. More phone calls, no responses, only to see they returned our deposit with our us requesting it. More phone calls and still nothing. It’s like once they make the deal and print books, they could care less about anything after that. Terrible customer service. Do your research, read reviews and look for other publishers. Xulon Press is terrible.

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!! I’m so disappointed with their service, I paid in full for my package and up until my book was published the communication was keen, but after that it’s been like pulling teeth to receive my royalties, first it was that documentation wasn’t clear after getting a conformation of document, but when I inquired about it a month later after 2-3 days then I received an email about it being unclear, then after that I waited, another month went by I inquired again then it was an excuse of needing to agree to terms which was done when purchasing package but I did it again, another month passed and again was I informed to agree to terms at this point I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with the choice I made, again not only did I send the previous agreement but sent a new one, then I waited disappointed with the lack of communication and timing of the matter especially after receiving a voicemail stating I would start receiving royalties in January, I reached out again but this time I asked for someone else that person was Doris although she was very pleasant and efficient in getting back to me to my surprise she informed me that I’ll have to wait another 90day to process documents, I’ve tried to over look the lack of communication and timing over and over again but I feel completely taken advantage of especially when communication was great up until I started inquiring about my royalties, if I wasn’t a women of God I’d probably would be discouraged to continue pursuing my writing but I know I follow a great God I’ll just have to pray for a different route for publishing services.
