Akademkniga
Located on the aptly named Liteiniy Prospekt, this high-tech bookshop is a must-visit for visitors to the city. The main draw is a well stocked library of over one million volumes. The store is also home to a fine selection of art and travel books, and even has an English-speaking staff. There are a number of small bookshops around town, but the flagship Akademkniga stands out as the most high-end. The main branch is also the best place to find out what the latest and greatest publications are available from Russia's leading publishers. The store is located near the central train station, and is easy to find.
Bookbridge
Saint Petersburg is the center of Russian literary culture and has a thriving book scene with both traditional and more modern bookstores. While most people visit the city to experience its rich history, many tourists choose to spend a few hours reading in one of the numerous bookshops that offer a wide range of foreign languages and Russian literature.

It is also one of the only book shops in St. Petersburg that sells comic books in both English and Russian so visitors can find a wide range of comics to read while visiting the city. Dom Knigi
Dom Knigi, or the House of Books, is one of the most famous book publishers in Saint Petersburg. It is located in the Singer Building, a historic landmark at Nevsky Prospekt, opposite Kazan Cathedral.
The building is an architectural masterpiece of its time, and the interiors are a feast for the eyes. Designed by architect Pavel Suzor, it features a facade made of granite with decorative sculptures instead of gutters and richly decorated interiors. The top floor is crowned by a large glass dome, which adds to the overall effect of the building.
